Memorial Day 2013

After we wrapped up at the beach, we headed home for some Memorial Day festivities. Waiting on us at home were three MORE of my favorite people. My brother, Emily, and Baby Caroline! It was like I got to hit the family favorites jackpot! We hung out Saturday and ate some YUMMY Mexican food, which makes sense on an American holiday weekend.

I wish I could see this sweet face every day. Love my C.
Sunday, we hung out in the morning and went to Strawberry Patch Park to play a little before our cook out that afternoon. C loved the walking trail and the bell. We saw a cute, yet mean, family of geese. But, in their defense, it was a Mama and Daddy protecting their babies. Which were adorable.

I mean. NO. WORDS. So precious.
Our parents were on the way home from ATL so they got to swing by too on Sunday. We grilled out and watched LSU beat Vandy to be SEC Baseball Champs.  GEAUX TIGERS!!! After we all ate, and I finished off almost a whole watermelon... Em and the Parents and C headed to Monroe.  John stayed the night Sunday night and we watched a patriotic movie... Star Trek Into Darkness. HA. It was good and scared me. But, we had a blast.

If only these two would move closer!!! It really was so great to see them and spend some quality time. Unfortunately, something that happens not often enough. We love our family, and we are so blessed to also be genuinely friends with them.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!

Santa Rosa Beach 2013: My favorite place on Earth

Last week, we had the best week ever. You may have thought you were having the best week ever, but sorry, I win. We went to Santa Rosa Beach with Bubba's parents, sister and her whole family, and his brother. It was such a perfect week! The weather was gorgeous, the food delicious (minus a small fight with food poisoning that I will declare Mr. Andy the victor of), and the company the very best.

We played in the sand, went on walks, floated in the water which was a tiny two year old's favorite activity (MORE WATER!!!), shopped, ate way to much, talked, and laughed. I am telling you it was the best. We had some activity days where the boys played on paddle boards and kayaks. And Rebecca and I worked on our pregnant lopsided tans. Best. Week. Ever.

Last year (May 2012)
This year (May 2013)
I cannot wait until next year when the beach will be filled with two more little babies! Crazy life. Fun life.

Now, on to all the pictures! Just pure beauty. I, of course, am referring to myself :)

Perfect Creation.

These girls LOVE their daddy!

The guys (and girls) caught about 2 pounds of these HUGE crabs.

She doesn't get much cuter than this.

Wait. She just did.

My favorite at dinner.

Best nieces in the whole world. We giggled and giggled about this chair.

Speaking of nieces, they saw this night gown and thought of me. Glitter Disney 2012. I LOVE IT!!!
And I turned 22 weeks there. Hello Belly. Ignore the crazy face. Or don't. Whatever.
The week couldn't have been better! Thank you Mr. Andy and Mrs. Sue for the best week or relaxation and fun. Our family is the best :)

One Year

Yesterday, we celebrated one year of being married. Which in the grand scheme of our lifetime is a short amount of time, but it has truly been the best year! We have experienced so much this year and grown so much and just had a whole lot of fun! It is crazy to think where we will be this time next year.

I am so thankful for Bubba and how much fun and special he makes just everyday life. We may not have the most exciting life in the world, but I wouldn't trade ours for anything. :) Happy Anniversary, Bub.

Then.
Now.
Here is to many, many more years!

Mother's Day 2013

Today is such a surreal day. Today I am exactly 20 weeks pregnant, which is the halfway mark. That in and of itself is insanity, but how cool to be halfway to being a Mama on the day we celebrate moms.

Thank goodness that the Lord saw it fit to place so many wonderful moms in my life. None of course hold a candle to my very own mother. Mama Sheryl has always been such the supporter of me and my brother. She loves us. Laughs with us (this is of course when she understands the joke). Cries for us (since she holds the emotion gene) and all around just makes our lives fun. No one could be a better mom to us than her. And now, she is in her best role yet... Nana! Can't wait for Beau to get to meet this lady.

Next, of course is my incredibly sweet and fun mother-in-law. I am so grateful for her for so many reasons. First, she is a great mom and raised a son that couldn't be more of a gentlemen if he tried. I am so thankful that she raised him to love God and love people. Plus, she is a heck of a lot of fun to hangout with and that just frankly can't be beat. I am also so excited for Beau to meet his Nana. Cause Mrs. Sue is a pretty outstanding one.

I cannot wait to meet our little guy! 20 weeks down, 20 weeks to go. I ought get moving on that nursery :).

Scenes of Bubba'a Birthday

Words cannot express how much we all love Bubba. So we will let pictures. So happy he was born 27 years ago!

Because I believe in Birth(weeks)

This is officially Bubba's Birth Week!! Yay! Last night, I begged him to let me treat him to dinner on our joint money. Let's just all say that a huge let down of adult life is that presents are only so fun when technically you are buying them for yourself. HA! Anyway, he has been working INCREDIBLY hard over the past few weeks on finishing up his CFP education requirement stuff, and a fun night was definitely a necessity. (He will kill me for even mentioning the previous sentence, but my blog, sorry bud.)

We headed to a new restaurant to us called Islanders. It was deliciously yummy, and I highly recommend it! Bubba got to eat the ocean which is his favorite meal. I got shrimp and key lime pie. Totally a winning meal. I can honestly say that a relaxing dinner was what both of us needed. Hopefully, Bubba will allow a few more celebrations this weekend, but he won't make any promises!

Happy Birthday Dinner!! Love you Bub.
